Trees really do run in the blood for Joel. As the son of a horticulturalist, landscaper and architect, He was Raised in a household that lived and breathed gardens and exotic trees in a ‘hands-on’ kind of way. The path was well set. Eventually he worked in the family business as a landscaper and project manager. He also solidified himself as an expert in heavy tree relocations. Later, he moved into more specialised tree work and persisted in the craft.

After many years as an established tree surgeon, Joel has a a reputation for fine tree pruning, safety and an eye for detail. There’s a reason he has worked at hundreds of Auckland’s most affluent addresses.

The Doctor is a family-run business, with Joel’s wife Alli wrangling the background details in between looking after their three children.
